1. Establishment of three laboratories operating on the principles of the so-called Core Facility:
- Genomics Laboratory (at the Małopolska Center of Biotechnology)
- Proteomics Laboratory (Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology)
- Metabolomics Laboratory (at the Jagiellonian Center for Drug Development)
About 75% of the time, the labs will be working for BioS units. About 75 percent of the time, the Laboratories will work for BioS units. The remaining 25% of the Laboratories' working time will be spent on
- conducting research/analysis for other units of the Jagiellonian University
- conducting commissioned/commercial research
2. Hiring high-class specialists to work in the above-mentioned laboratories, whose task will be:
- equipment management
- analysis of the samples provided
- rerforming experiments.
3. Purchase of equipment for the Genomics and Proteomics Laboratories:
- NextSeq 2000 high-throughput sequencing and short read platforms (Illumina)
- high-throughput sequencing and long-read generation platforms GridION (Oxford Nanopore)
- two Exploris instruments equipped with the Evosep LC-MS/MS system for hybrid mass spectrometry coupled with ultra-efficient liquid chromatography.
